COMMERCIAL
INDUSTRIAL
Aimed at the residential sector. An attractive, characteristic style without the need for the initial surface grinding. Achievable with either a new concrete floor, or an existing floor that has a surface in excellent condition. Requires a high standard, power trowel finish to achieve this option.
Offered where functionality is a priority. It is carried out with an initial light grind of the concrete surface, before mechanically concrete polishing. The amount of fines sands and aggregates visible will be regulated by how much of a grind is required to prepare the surface for concrete polishing.
Random exposure creates a unique textured look for concrete floors.
It's achieved by grinding down the surface to reveal patches of the aggregate (pebbles) mixed into the concrete. This results in a random mix of exposed stones and smooth concrete, for a look that can be industrial or modern in style.
Created by a heavy initial grind of the concrete to expose the aggregate. Multiple grinding & mechanical concrete polishing stages are then required to finish the process. This option has the most amount of refinement stages to the concrete surface to offer a high quality and extremely durable floor.

STAINED POLISHED CONCRETE
Stained polished concrete combines the durability of polished concrete with the aesthetic versatility of stains. These stains penetrate the concrete surface to create vibrant, permanent color effects. The result is a unique, long-lasting finish that enhances the natural look of concrete.
There are two main types: acid-based and water-based stains. Acid stains react chemically with the minerals in the concrete, producing a variegated, natural look with earthy tones. Water-based stains, on the other hand, offer a broader range of vibrant colors and consistent application.
Yes! With the right staining techniques, concrete can mimic the appearance of marble, granite, natural stone, or even wood. Layered staining and polishing can achieve these effects, making it a cost-effective alternative to expensive materials.
When sealed and maintained properly, the stain’s color can last for decades. The sealer protects the surface from wear and UV exposure, preventing fading and maintaining vibrancy.
Absolutely! You can mix and layer stains to achieve custom colors, gradients, or even artistic patterns. This customization allows for unique designs tailored to your space.
Yes, but it’s essential to use UV-stable stains and high-quality sealers to protect the color from sun damage and weather conditions. Outdoor stained concrete is ideal for patios, driveways, and pool decks.
No, staining is purely decorative. When combined with polishing and sealing, it enhances the concrete’s durability by adding a protective layer.
Yes, as long as the surface is clean, free of coatings, and in good condition. Older concrete may require repairs or grinding before staining to ensure even application.
While most designs are achievable, very intricate or detailed patterns may require additional labor and costs. Consult with professionals to discuss feasibility and techniques.
Maintenance is straightforward: sweep regularly to remove debris, mop with a pH-neutral cleaner, and reseal the surface every few years to preserve the stain and polish.
Logos and Decorative Inlays
Logos and decorative inlays are custom designs embedded into or engraved on the concrete surface. These can include business branding, family crests, or artistic patterns that personalize the space.
Logos are added using stencils, engraving tools, or by embedding materials like metal or glass. The design is sealed into the floor, ensuring it remains protected and visually striking.
Yes, multiple colors can be applied using stains, dyes, or even colored aggregates. These techniques allow for vibrant and detailed designs.
Yes, existing floors can be engraved or overlaid with new materials to incorporate a logo. However, the surface must be in good condition and properly prepared.
Absolutely! Inlays are installed as part of the concrete surface, making them as durable as the polished floor itself. They are resistant to wear and will last as long as the concrete.
Common materials include metal, glass, stone, and recycled materials. The choice of material depends on the design and intended use of the floor.
Changing or removing them is possible but can be labor-intensive. It typically involves grinding the surface and refinishing the floor.
The time depends on the complexity of the design, but adding logos or inlays can extend the project timeline by a few days.
Costs vary based on the size, detail, and materials of the design. While it’s an investment, the result is a unique and eye-catching floor.
Businesses, schools, sports facilities, and retail stores often use logos to enhance branding. Residential clients may incorporate inlays for personalized home decor.
Matte vs. Glossy Finishes
Matte finishes have a low-sheen, understated look, while glossy finishes reflect light and create a mirror-like surface. The choice depends on the desired aesthetic and functionality.
Both finishes are durable, but matte finishes are better at hiding scratches, scuffs, and dirt in busy spaces.
Yes, a floor can be re-polished to adjust its level of gloss. This process involves using finer polishing grits or applying a different sealer.
Generally, costs are similar. However, glossy finishes may require more polishing steps, which could increase labor costs slightly.
Matte finishes complement rustic or minimalist homes, while glossy finishes suit modern or contemporary interiors.
Not inherently, but in wet conditions, they can be more slippery. Adding anti-slip treatments ensures safety.
Both finishes are low-maintenance, but matte finishes are more forgiving of dust and minor wear.
Glossy finishes are highly reflective, making them ideal for dark spaces or areas where added brightness is desired.
Yes, semi-gloss is a great option for those who want some shine without the full reflectivity of high-gloss finishes.
Yes, matte finishes are excellent at masking small surface imperfections and wear over time.
Exposed Aggregate Polished Concrete
It’s a finish that reveals embedded stones or aggregates in the concrete, creating a smooth, decorative surface.
Options include natural stones, colored glass, shells, and even recycled materials for unique designs.
Yes, it’s versatile and works well for driveways, patios, pool decks, and indoor spaces.
The top layer of the concrete is ground away to reveal the aggregate, followed by polishing to achieve the desired finish.
Absolutely! You can choose the type, size, and color of aggregates to match your design vision.
Yes, it offers additional slip resistance and texture, making it ideal for outdoor or high-traffic areas.
Yes, the process requires extra grinding and customization, which increases the overall cost.
Only if the existing concrete contains aggregate (most do). If not, an overlay may be necessary.
Regular cleaning and resealing will keep it looking fresh and protect it from wear and weather.
It’s less slippery than smooth finishes, but adding a slip-resistant sealer enhances safety.
